Offered for the first time ever – genuine handwriting from legendary American Baseball Center Fielder and Hall of Famer, Ty Cobb, authenticated and encapsulated by (BAS) Beckett Authentication Services. Each handwritten word was carefully removed from 1955 handwritten letter from Cobb.

Each encapsulated word was individually removed from a February 1955 letter written by Cobb to a man seeking assistance in researching Cobb’s ancestry including his family’s Masonic roots, likely for the development of his biography.
Genuine Cobb autograph letters are hard to come by and can fetch thousands of dollars. This encapsulated word offers a rare and affordable opportunity to own an authentic piece of handwriting from the same hand that propelled the legendary “Georgia Peach” to the highest lifetime batting average in Major League Baseball (MLB) history.
