Each encapsulated word was individually removed from pages in Rockne’s textbook while he was a student, filled with his handwritten notes. Following graduation, Rockne stayed at Notre Dame as a chemistry instructor and football Assistant Coach before becoming Head Coach. Leading Notre Dame for 13 seasons, Rockne accumulated over 100 wins before dying tragically in a plane crash in 1931. Today, he is buried at his beloved Notre Dame University.
