Offered for the first time ever – a genuine handwritten word from the last King to rule the American colonies, King George III, authenticated and encapsulated by (BAS) Beckett Authentication Services.
An exclusive CutWordCo Limited Edition, this is the first set of King George words encapsulated by Beckett we’ve ever offered for sale! Own penmanship from the same hand that signed the Act taxed and outraged the young American colonies, and led to the American Revolution.
Each order will include one King George III handwriting fragment selected from the dropdown menu. An example of the selection of George III words can be seen in the 2nd photo. Each word in the dropdown menu is an actual word handwritten by King George III. You will receive one authentic piece of King George III's penmanship encapsulated by Beckett.
Each encapsulated word was individually removed from an undated, extensive handwritten list from the King detailing travel arrangements for the royal family. The King's precise notes specify horses, groomers, gentlemen, servants, footmen and accommodations as well as members of the traveling party.
Genuine George III letters can fetch thousands of dollars. This encapsulated word offers a rare and affordable opportunity to own an authentic piece of the King made perhaps most famous in the musical, "Hamilton".
The cost of authenticating a single word of King George III's handwriting is $150 on Beckett's website.
