Offered for the first time ever - handwriting from John Adams encapsulated by (BAS) Beckett Authentication Services, produced in an extremely limited quantity of encapsulated cards! Each handwritten word was carefully removed from a legal document annotated by the 2nd President of the United States during his time as a Massachusetts lawyer.
Each order will include one Adams handwriting fragment selected from the dropdown menu. An example of the selection of Adams words can be seen in the 2nd photo. Each word in the dropdown menu is an actual word handwritten by President John Adams. You will receive one authentic piece of John Adams' penmanship encapsulated by Beckett.
Each piece of handwriting was removed from a 1769 legal pleading which was heavily annotated by Adams on two sides. A Harvard educated lawyer, Adams early became identified with the patriot cause; a delegate to the First and Second Continental Congress, he led in the movement for independence. Notably, a year after this legal document was written Adams represented the British Soldiers who were involved in the Boston Massacre.
The cost of authenticating an individual word of Adams' handwriting is $150 on Beckett's website.
