Offered for the first time ever – genuine handwritten words from renowned American novelist, short story writer and journalist, Ernest Hemingway, authenticated and encapsulated by Beckett.
An exclusive CutWordCo Limited Edition, this is the first set of Hemingway words encapsulated by Beckett we’ve ever offered for sale! Each individual word was carefully removed from an original handwritten letter from Hemingway. Own penmanship from the same hand that wrote classics such as “The Old Man and the Sea”, and “For Whom the Bell Tolls”, and “A Farewell to Arms”.
Each order will include one authentic Ernest Hemingway handwriting fragment selected from the menu. An example of the selection of Hemingway words can be seen in the 2nd photo. You will receive one authentic piece of Ernest Hemingway’s penmanship encapsulated by Beckett.
Each encapsulated word was individually removed from a January 1958 letter from Hemingway on his beloved Finca Vigia letterhead. Writing from his home overlooking downtown Havana, Hemingway found himself unable to reach a deal on his novel, “Across the River and into the Trees”, despite the persistence of his correspondent. Genuine Hemingway documents can often fetch thousands of dollars. The cost of authenticating a single word of Hemingway’s handwriting is $100 on Beckett's website.
