The background of this card features an image of Darwin's tree of life sketch from his notebook where he studied the transmutation of species. Just 25 total cards for this set were made.

Each encapsulated word was individually removed from an undated letter written by Darwin responding to a Ladyship’s inquiry on the well-being of an ailing Mrs. Darwin, “…who has had a wretched time now for many months…”. Darwin’s wife, Emma, suffered from frequent, severe migraines.
