Each handwritten word was carefully removed from a war-dated handwritten letter from Andrew Jackson sent just 8 days after his victory over the combined British and Native American forces at Fort Bowyer. Each word has been removed from a handwritten letter sent by Jackson on September 22nd, 1814. 8 days earlier Jackson had successfully repulsed a attack on Fort Bowyer comprised of both Creek Indian and British forces. In this letter Jackson sends reinforcements and provisions to supply his troops on the field.
